Anne White Johnson

Anne W. Johnson passed away peacefully at home in Spotsylvania, Virginia Tuesday morning, May 30, 2023 at the age of 93. She is predeceased by her husband, James B. Johnson. She was born to the late Walter T. and Flossie V. White on February 3, 1930 in Princess Anne County.
She is survived by three brothers, Ernest White, wife Earlene White, Allen White, wife Judy White; Steve White, wife Anita White; and sister, Doris Schedler, a son Brandon Cross, wife Terry Cross; a daughter, Terri Martin, husband, Hugh Martin, eight grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren.
A loving mother, grandmother, and friend to all, Anne always had an "open door" policy at her home, and everyone was made welcome. She loved crafts like crocheting, knitting, making doll dresses for children and knitting caps for the elderly and sick. She enjoyed reading, bible study, working word puzzles, and playing Scrabble. Anne was a devout Christian, always putting God first in her life. She was known for spreading the word of Christ by giving “smilies” to any and everyone she met. Her relationship with her grandchildren was very special to her. She lived for her family and her greatest joy in life was spending time with them.
In honor of Anne, and as a celebration of her life, family is invited for a viewing on Monday, June 5, 2023 from 4:00-5:00 P.M. and friends from 5:00-6:00 P.M. at Rosewood-Kellum Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 601 N. Witchduck Road, Va. Beach, VA 23462.
The Funeral service honoring her life will be held at the Rosewood-Kellum Chapel on Tuesday, June 6, 2023 at 10:00 A.M.
