She was a native and lifelong resident of Vinton and was a graduate of Vinton High School. Shannon was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She worked as a bus driver for several years with the Calcasieu Parish School Board. She truly had a servant's heart and loved helping others in need. She enjoyed cooking, being outdoors, spending time with family and friends, and seafood, especially crawfish. Shannon absolutely loved children, not only her own, but served as a mom to many other children.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her parents Vickie and Steve Wright; her husband, Malcolm Boudreaux; her daughters, Brylee Walters and Chloe Boudreaux; her brother, Trent Wright and wife, Kerstyn; her grandparents, Eddie and Cheryl Martin, and Ann Gary; her father-in-law, Dallas Boudreaux; her nephew, River Rae Wright; and her niece, Dove Vera Wright, all of Vinton. She is preceded in death by her grandfathers, Gary Berry and Ernie Wright; and her mother-in-law, Dolores Boudreaux.
Her funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, March 10, 2023 at Hixson Funeral Home in Vinton. Pastor Rob Tibbitts will officiate. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of service Friday in the funeral home. Father Carlos Garcia will lead a Rosary at 10 a.m. Pallbearers will be Justin Boudreaux, Garet Berry, Chris Pierce, Blake Habetz, Blaine Boudreaux, and Matt Nichols.
