Marion Benoit

She was a lifelong resident of Vinton and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Marion enjoyed reading and spending time with her family. She was very involved in Mary Kay cosmetics and served as a counselor for Weight Watchers, where she was a lifetime member.

Survivors include her children, James Benoit, Jr. and wife, Peggy of Vinton, Randy Benoit and wife, Kathy of Crowley, Beverly Moore and husband, Darryl of Buna, Texas, Chris Benoit of Vinton, Sara Jo Green and husband, John of Lake Charles, and Rennie Benoit and Jody of Vinton; her siblings, Carolyn Granger of Vinton and Henry Joseph Hebert, Jr. and wife, Sharone of Dallas, Texas; eight grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by a son, Joseph Benoit; and a brother, Norman Hebert.

Her funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 8, in St. Joseph Catholic Church. The Rev. Susil Fernando will officiate. Burial will be in Big Woods Cemtery in Edgerly under the direction of Hixson Funeral Home of Vinton. Visitation is from 5-9 p.m. Tuesday with a rosary service at 6 p.m. and will resume at 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday in the funeral home.
