Linda "MeMe" Doiron, 79, of Vinton gained her wings on Monday, February 17, 2025 in her home surrounded by her loved ones. Linda was born in Lake Charles on August 11, 1945 to Fulton and Arminthia Andrus. She was a lifelong resident of Vinton where she was known to everyone as MeMe. MeMe worked as a beautician for 57 years, majority of that time serving her Vinton community at her salon, The Hair Scene. Her latter years were spent working at Studio Mane. She was a devoted Catholic and member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church where she served as a Catholic Daughter for many years.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Modica Smith; grandchildren, Allison Spell and husband Scott of Vinton, Brandon Craddock of Vinton, and Madison Craddock of Baton Rouge; great-grandchildren, Taytum Grace, Steele Michael, Abigail Marie and Griffin Paige Trahan, Benjamin Scott and Hollis Ann Marie Spell, Emma Jane Delaney and Kort Robert Kirkpatrick; sister, Nelda Lamb of Lake Charles; and special friend Lurlene "Plum" Vincent.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents and two younger siblings.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff of Amedysis Hospice for their kindness, patience and support in the final days. The family would also like to extend their sincerest gratitude and thanks to all of those who helped and supported with MeMe's final journey.
A Rosary will be held at 10 am on Friday, February 21, 2025 with a Mass following at 11am at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Vinton. Inurnment will follow at Consolata Cemetery in Lake Charles. Words of comfort and expressions of sympathy may be shared with the family at www.hixsonfuneralhomes.com.
