Elsie Eve Broussard

She was born in Basile, LA on October 19, 1920 and moved to Vinton as a child. Elsie married and she and Walter raised their family in Vinton.

Elsie was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and the Catholic Daughters of America.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Broussard; their oldest son, Walter Ray Broussard; her parents, Nazia and Joseph Alec Johnson; sisters, Abnes Myers and Hazel Fregia.

Surviving family include two sons, Sidney Broussard and wife, Pamela, Tim Broussard and wife, Marilyn; daughter-in-law, Lidice Broussard; 6 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.

Visitation will be at Hixson Funeral Home of Vinton on Thursday, July 30th from 5-8pm with a rosary at 7pm and resume Friday 8am until service time. A mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, 10am at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Burial will be in Mimosa Pines Cemetery in Sulphur.
