Dwight Foster, age 76, of Vinton, Louisiana went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, June 26, 2022. Dwight was born April 30, 1946 in Lake Charles, Louisiana to Ira Foster and Dolores Walter Foster.
Dwight proudly served in the U.S. Army, worked for many years as an Electronic Technician, and retired from Louisiana Radio Communications.
Dwight was preceded in death by his parents and grandson, Nathan Emmanuel Brooks.
Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Mrs. Thelma Foster of Vinton; daughter, Patricia Netherland and husband, Henry of Orange, TX; daughter Elizabeth Brooks and husband, Jeffery of Spring, TX; five grandchildren, Minden Lee, Daniel Netherland, Cameron, Chandler, and Callen Brooks; and one great-granddaughter, Trissalynn Lee.
Visitation will begin 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 28, 2022 at Hixson Funeral Home of Vinton. Visitation will resume at 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Funeral services will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 29. 2022 in the Chapel of Hixson Funeral Home of Vinton. Dr. Cliff Stewart will officiate services. Burial will follow in Big Woods Cemetery in Edgerly.
