Connie was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. She was a lifelong member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Vinton. Connie was an avid reader and enjoyed playing various card games with all her friends.
She is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, her "soul mate" Doug Guidry Sr. of Vinton, LA; two sons, Doug Guidry Jr. and wife, Brenda of Sulphur, LA and Toby Guidry and wife, Jennifer of Cedar Rapids, IA; her daughter, Nicole Fontenot; her beloved grandchildren, Teresa, Alexis, Elijah and Ferrari; great-grandchildren, Sebastian and Xander; brother, Roy Courville and wife Sally of Lafayette, LA; sister-in-laws, Coralie Chatagnier, Marcella Miller and husband Terry; her dearest friends, Carol, Pearl, Mary and Rhonda; and a host of extended family members and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Wilson & Lucy Vice Courville; her son, Joshua Guidry; her granddaughter, Megan Guidry; and her brother JW "Bubba" Courville.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 9, 2021 from 3-7 p.m. with a Rosary service at 6 p.m. in Hixson Funeral Home of Vinton. Words of reflection will be held on Thursday, June 10, 2021 at 9 a.m. with Pastor Little at Hixson Funeral Home of Vinton. Her Funeral Mass will follow at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph Catholic Church in Vinton with Rev. Carlos Garcia officiating. Interment will follow in Big Woods Cemetery in Edgerly under the direction of Hixson Funeral Home of Vinton. Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Doug Guidry Jr., Toby Guidry, Oscar Richard, Mike Berg, Sandy Sandifer, and Doug Schmitz.
