Victoria "Vicky" May (Tennison) Van Alstine

Victoria “Vicky” M. Van Alstine, age 83, of Hesperia, CA, passed away on Sunday, December 4, 2022 at Desert Memorial Medical Center.

She was born in Oklahoma and then at the age of 5 moved with her family to California. She later met Benjamin M. Van Alstine through their youth group at church and later were married in 1959. They lived in Ontario until 1990 when they moved to Hesperia.

She loved being active and doing so many things like crafts, cooking, sewing, but her passion was gardening. She didn’t just have a “green thumb”, she had a heart of a master gardener. She would spend as much time as she could planning, researching and making everything grow.

Vicky was preceded by their son Mark (1999) and her husband Ben (2013). She is survived by her son Michael and wife Christy, her daughter Robin, granddaughters Heather, Jennifer & Michelle, grandson Jacob, great granddaughter Devin and great grandson Ethan.

A graveside service for Victoria will be held Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at 10:00 AM at Desert View Memorial Park, 11500 Amargosa Rd., Victorville, California 92392.
