Venceslado(Ben or Vence) Luis Trujillo died at home on April 13, 2024, in Oak Hills, California at the age of 81. He is survived by his daughter, Adelina Lavoie of Oak Hills; siblings, Esther Chavez, Julia Robertson, Mary R. Manke and Leroy Trujillo. He is preceded in death by his parents, Luis and Adelina Trujillo and sister Didia Trujillo.
Venceslado was born on May 18, 1942, in Magdalena, NM to Luis and Adelina Trujillo. He grew up in Socorro, NM. In May of 1964 he joined the United States Air Force. While serving his country, he fought in the Vietnam War in 1968-1969.When he returned from the war, he married Alicia Mendiola. In 1971 his daughter was born. He raised her and Armando. He worked as an electrical technician. He received an Air Force commendation Medal, Air Force outstanding unit award, Air Force good conduct medal, NCO professional military education graduation ribbon, small arms expert marksmanship ribbon, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, among others. In 1988 he retired from the Air Force. Eventually, he had six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He was an active member of the VFW (Veterans of Foreign Wars) and the American Legion.
His service is scheduled for May 10th at 2:15 at the Riverside National Cemetery.
