I remember Sid's love & devotion to his family and friends---all of them! He was truly the godfather to so many and loved each one.  Sid and Bill were best friends-so much alike in many ways.

My loving, kind, gentle, sweet and big caring brother how I so very, very, very much miss you😢 It will never be the same. These past long 19 months have seemed like an eternity. I miss our phone conversations, luncheons and just getting together. I know your watching over your loved ones and visiting with the rest of our family: Mom, dad, your dad, Van & grandma. I so very much miss them too!!! Just letting you know my beloved brother, I think of you everyday and know your always in my heart.  I wish I could have said these things to you.
I reminisce the times growing up. Not easy times, but we were all together and that made it all right. Van or mom & I talked every day about work which kept me sane. I miss your voices, advice, knowledge and concern. The good times we had in Minnesota & Long Beach are unforgettable!
I am so lucky to have been Blessed to have had the best two brothers any sister could have. I am sorry I never got to tell you how truly Blessed I was to have you. 
It is hard being the last one here from our family photo, someday I will be with you all.

Im going to try and keep this short even though every time I was with you grandpa our conversation were never short, we could talk for hours and usually when I was in a hurry and had somewhere to be I always ended up late because we could never stop talking! Surprisingly it took me awhile to think of what to say, I just really wasn’t expecting to be having to do this but I just want to say thank you for everything! I want to thank you for all the great memories, the laughs, the love, the great experiences and always accepting me and being there in times of need. You showed me how to shoot my first gun and That’s something I will always remember! Every time I seen you, you were either showing me a new train, new guns or something crazy of yours. I wish I could of came and seen you more but I really wasn’t expecting you to go so soon! I love you grandpa and you’ll forever be missed and in my heart!

I met Sid through my boyfriend Kirby, who was friends with him from the moving business. From the moment we met, Sid & Janice made me feel like part of their extended family. Kirby & I would drive or bicycle from Ocean Beach out to Barrett Lake to visit or we'd cruise over to Kobey's Swap Meet where Sid & Janice had several spaces devoted to selling bicycle parts. We would prowl their products and then kick back with them and family while they worked their sales magic. When they moved up north and finally settled in Oak Hills, on one visit we lucked into a situation that allowed us to make a deal to purchase a piece of property Sid and his brother Van owned, making payments based solely on a handshake deal. Several years later, when I called with the news that Kirby had been killed by a drunk driver, Sid gave me a few months to get my head and finances together to finish buying the land on my own. Sid is/was rare – an honorable, trustworthy man that followed through on his deals – when he gave his word he kept it!

 I have always admired and envied Sid's love and devotion to his wife Janice, and his strong, obvious love and support of his family. He was always generous towards friends, and oft-times strangers. I have so many memories of him - but a favorite will always be his sense of humor. I can see him now; his eyes sparkling, crinkling up as he'd rock with his own boisterous laugh at a joke or a good story. 

Sid, I probably didn't say it enough in life but you always seemed to know how grateful I am/was for your part in my life. How thankful I was for the man you were. Whether the world was caving in around me or not, I ALWAYS knew that your home would be a haven; that you and Janice would do what you could to help me.  I won't miss you, my friend, because your spirit is still here, watching over those you cared about. Your legacy lives on. Till we meet again . . .

Sid was a wonderful caring man he was always in such good spirits always a listeaning ear always cared and was concerned about my family was such a good guy I met sid when i was 13 years old. Justin since he was a little kid he sure does miss ya sid. Its been a pleasure Him and janice have always been such a blessing in our lifes we love them both dearly such wonderful kind hearted people are thoughts and prayers and with you janice we are here if you need anything we love you💖 xoxox taylor and justin 

Sidney Dale Boelter was my husband and we were together for 42 years.  Where do I start? I know one thing for sure is that I loved that man more than life and I never doubted his love for me.  We have shared so many memories together like having children and grandchildren as well as going different places together.  I know I was young and some doubted how far our relationship would go, but I am still here 42 years later.  God obviously wanted us to be together, so I could take care of him with all my heart and soul when he got older, since I was younger and more able.  I used to tease him about being together and that he got me so I could take care of him later in life and I guess he was right, but not without saying he would tell me he would take care of me as well if I were to become sick.  I know he is in a better place right now free of suffering, I just can't grasp it yet.  I will always miss and love that man forever and always.  He was my big guy that I cherished and looked up to for everything.  He never let anyone hurt me or lead me in the wrong direction.  There is only one number one man in my life for me and that was Sid, my one and only.  I know he will be waiting for me because he always assured me that he would be waiting for me at heaven's gates.  I know someday we will be together for eternity when I leave this earth to join him in heaven as well, but until then, I'll cherish our memories forever in my heart.  I love you big guy.  May you rest in peace until I see you again.  Your loving wife forever, Janice.

It's never easy to say good bye...I have known Sid since like 1974 and although we weren't always close he was still like family to me because he became my older sister Teresa Boelter's brother inlaw when she married his brother Van❤ My thoughts and prayers are with all the family as I know his family meant every thing to him...and I know he was loved by his family as well..Sid may you RIP you will be missed but never forgotten ❤


Where do I start, my grandpa may have been a pain at times but he was my grandpa. I loved him so much I hated seeing him sick I never saw him sick in my mind I saw him being here much longer but we all knew this was coming, we just never wanted to face the facts. I wish I would have spent more time with him. I love you grandpa and may you rest in peace and I'll see you some day. We all love and miss you my grandma the most but your time came it's just hard to take in. You will forever be in my thought grandpa or should I say (john)  RIP john. You knew your time was coming and im sorry you had to go through that but we wanted you with us so we made you go through it all. 

Where do I start? I have so many memories.  I could go on for months if not years talking about my father.  One thing I can say is I am so proud to have had him as my father.  He always kept me on the right path, even though it seemed like he was be too strict, I am thankful for him.  Also I am so glad that I have taken after him in so many ways like being on time, being responsible, handling my finances well as well as so much more.  Now on the downside, I am very impatient as well as very sarcastic, but I am still thankful for those traits, not to mention we love to eat!    Working on that one though!LOL I am going to miss my father beyond words can explain.  I am so thankful that I got to live 36 years out of my 40 years with my parents.  We bought a house together 18 years ago and I can't begin to express the memories we have shared along the way.  I know I will see him again in heaven and for now all I can do is cherish the memories.  One memory that was pretty recent was when my dad called my mom and said In home support services was at the house to see him and that she needed to get home right away.  My mom told him that they just wouldn't show up like that because they had an appointment at the end of the month.  Needless to say my dad always being right LOL, my mom came home only to find out that the lady was there for John Boelter, not Sid Boelter.  Ever since that day I would say "John, how are you doing?"  He would get so frustrated and say she never asked if his name was john, but we know different because she had asked him twice.  Other times he would just shake his head and say sure,sure!!!  I am sure going to miss my daddy and I know over time I will put one foot in front of the other, but right now it seems impossible.

Sid was a great and very stubborn man. He was very stuck in his ways but If you ever needed picked up from somewhere he would be the guy to call for he would always be on time or early. He loved his wife so very much and could never do anything with out her lol. I can still here his voice call Janice threw the house😔 he would call her name a minimum of 100 times a day lol. he also loved to collect antiques. That was probably his favorite hobby.  From old guns to just old rusty wagon wheels to old coin collections. If it had any kind of old back ground to it then he had to have it. He used to sit in his room and either watch old war movies or the history channel. He was a very smart man. He would also sit in there and rock out to his oldies while smoking a hooter lol. I am very thankful for having the last 18 years living with him in the same house. Although there were some disagreements along the way there were also a whole lot of great memories made that I will cherish and take with me to my grave. I love you Sid. RIP

Met the Capitain 30yrs ago while in the moving industry. I see this overweight guy get out of the car followed by a kid (Stanley) and another guy (Van), these 3 were a sight, didn't look like the mover type and then there was a 4th in the group (Bob Bunch). Bob was more clean cut, really didn't fit the group.
They were their own crew.
I tell ya they were hard workers, well Sid did more supervising haha.
But these guys showed up every day on time. Found out they drove from Barrett Junction to San Diego/El Cajon,
Again, always on time. I was really amazed and impressed on Sids work ethic also how he was respected by his crew.
Our families met up and the friendship blossomed.
Sid is a great man and I'm proud to call him my friend and family.
I'll miss him


I will have many good memories i loved all are talks we had I loved going in your room messing with you calling you John AKA sid all your wisdom and advice I always took in you never were wrong on your wisdom your memory will stay alive always but your beautiful daughter candy sidet will keep going strong cause she is just like her daddy and that’s a good thing she will always be there for her mom as you will always be there guardian angel forever may you rest easy out of pain always missed but never forgotten
