Sharon Mae Burns

Our family is heartbroken to announce our dear mother Sharon Burns passed away peacefully at her home on December 2, 2023 at the age of 81. Sharon lived a full and long life. It brings our family great comfort knowing she is with our Lord and Savior. Sharon married the love of her life back in 1973., Jacksonville, FL. She embraced the life of a military wife. She proudly supported her husbands Navy career throughout 23 years of marriage. She kept this family grounded throughout many duty stations. Which lead them to fulfil their dream of a forever home in the high desert. For over 30 years her passion and dedication to shaping the lives of more than 100 children. She had the patience of a saint, was never quick to judge and provided them with guidance. She taught children to think for themselves and to learn from the consequences of their decisions. She truly loved and treated each as one of her own. Our Mom was the matriarch of our family. She embodied strength, courage, love, and grace. She impacted the lives of all who met her. Her wisdom and legacy will go on through those who had the honor to know just who Sharon Burns was. Sharon is survived by her children Debra (John), David, Diana, John (Carisha), Mary Ann (Frank). Her grandchildren Jessica (Jeffrey) Jerad (Alyssah) Kory Ann (Aaron) Jason, Darien, Trisha (Jonathan),Mikayla (Dylan) Hunter, Addison. Her great grandchildren Gavin, Kadence, Mason, Kennedy, Karter, Luis and River.
