Ruth Ann Ridgway

Ruth Ann (Monette) Ridgway passed from this world and into God’s arms on February 28, 2022. When she arrived in Heaven, she was surely greeted by her parents, Morris and Lucille Monette, her brother Milton, her husband Archie, and by many friends. She passed at age 39… (actually, she was 85).

She grew up on a small farm in Chatfield, Minnesota (Go Gophers!). She moved to California and found her love, Archie. Together, they raised four boys: Timothy, Michael, Thomas and Jerry.

She was a perpetual “mom,” best known for her Kool-aid and sugar cookies. She adopted countless strays: dogs, cats and kids. She loved her time with the Daily Press and her paperboys. They were each very special to her, and she was especially proud of "1510."

She is survived by her sons and their brides: Pauline, Michelle, Julie and Peggy respectively. Her many grandchildren include Anthony, Bryan, Kaylyn, Sean, Jason, Sarah, and Daniel.

Services are arranged by the Desert View Memorial Park and will be held at the Victorville United Methodist Church on La Paz on Monday, March 7, 2022. The viewing will begin at 10:00 AM, and the services will begin at 11:00 AM. Pastor Carrie Cesar will preside.

At noon, the United Methodist Women will host a luncheon. Please join us for fellowship and remembrances.

A brief graveside service will be held for family on Wednesday, March 16, 2022, at Hermosa Gardens Cemetery in Colton.
