Mary Louise McGinnis

Mary Louise "Easy" McGinnis, entered life on August the 27th, 1928 in Los Angeles, Ca. She was born at home. On November the 21st, 2023, at the age of 95, she entered into eternal life. She lived in Redlands, California until age seven when she moved to Victorville, California. She had one sister, Grace Wilson Durling and two brothers, Earl and Lloyd WIlson who preceded her in death.

Easy graduated from Victor Valley High School in 1946. She married Craig McGinnis a few months later, when he returned from the war. They had two children, Denise (Deni) Sutherland and Doug McGinnis. They also became legal guardians of their nephew, Rick Bulman and Laurie (Balogo) Henry and opened their hearts and home to Nan Perkins, Peter Bryan, Warren Peterson and several others. Craig and Easy were happily married for 56 years until Craig entered eternity. Easy and Craig enjoyed years of fishing in the ocean with friends and family and swimming and writing. She worked as a swimming instructor, a dental assistant and a waitress in her earlier years. She loved expressing her thoughts through poetry in her later years and has left her family with the gift of her poems.

Craig and Easy modeled marriage and lived what they preached. They were greatly respected and loved by all who knew them.

A memorial service for Mary will be held Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Victorville United Methodist Church, 15150 La Paz Drive, Victorville, CA 92395.

An interment will be announced at a later date.
