Marcos Aponte Mejia

Marcos Aponte Mejia was born on May 5th, 1932 to Margarito and Magdalena Mejia in Juarez, Mexico. He met and married Cruz Mejia on June 16th, 1956 in Mexico. Together they raised 9 children and were happily married for 56 years until the passing of Cruz in 2013.

Marcos was a loving husband, brother and devoted father who enjoyed storytelling, making people laugh, and watching the Dodgers.

Marcos Aponte Mejia, 92, pf Apple Valley, passed away on May 8, 2024, at his home, surrounded by family.

Marcos is preceded in death Cruz Mejia, Miguel Mejia and Jose Luis Mejia.

Marcos is survived by Rudolfo Mejia (Lorraine), Arturo Mejia, Eduardo Mejia, Marisela Mejia, Marcos Mejia Jr, Delia Nelson (Todd) and Veronica Saunders (John), 20 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Rudy Mejia, Alexander Rojas, Daniel Mejia, Justin Mejia, Jeanae De la Cruz and Justin Hansen.

Rosary and Viewing will be 4pm-8pm Tuesday May 21, 2024 at Desert View Funeral Home, Victorville.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Wednesday May 22, 2024 at Good Shephard Church, Adelanto. Burial will follow at Desert View Memorial Park. Reception to follow burial.
