Loretta Margie King, 79, of Apple Valley, California, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on March 5, 2016. She was born January 31, 1937 in Brice, Missouri to Mr. William McKinley Dill and Mrs. Pansy Elvira Pettitt Dill. Loretta was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved to have family gatherings. She was the longest active member at First Baptist Church (currently Redeemer Church) in Apple Valley. She had many hobbies and interests including: gardening, walks with Shiloh (her teacup Yorkie), reading, painting, crocheting, traveling in the motorhome, bowling (in her younger days), as well as, being an expert seamstress. She enjoyed her years of employment at the Apple Valley Unified School District as an Instructional Aide. Loretta will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her father, Mr. William McKinley Dill, her mother, Mrs. Pansy Elvira Pettitt Dill, her brother, Mr. George B. Dill and her younger brother, Mr. Bueford L. Dill. Loretta is survived by her husband of 59 years, D.L. King of Apple Valley. Her son, Dwight L. King of Hesperia. Her daughter, Lanetta K. (King) Duke and her husband, James J. Duke, M.D. of Apple Valley. Her daughter, Janetta F (King) Cardoza of Hesperia. Grandchildren: Daniel King of Apple Valley. Deidra, and her husband, Chad Hitt of Apple Valley. Melissa McConaghay of Riverside. Ashley, and her husband, Joshua Duckett of Apple Valley. Kristen Cardoza, Jenna Cardoza, Noelle Wyatt and Christopher Cardoza of Hesperia. Loretta is also survived by her sisters, Mrs. Jerry Jane Herd of Sapula, Oklahoma. Mrs. Della Ruth Stanley, and her husband Vernon, of Sacramento, Ca. Her brother, Mr. William David Dill, and his wife Edna of Porterville, Ca. Other survivors include her beloved great-grandchildren: Jayden Roupe, Emma King, Calie and Cole Hitt, Brady Garza, Austin, Alexia, Allison and Cameron Duckett.
