Kenneth Franklin Gregg

Kenneth Franklin Gregg, age 73, of Desert Hot Springs, CA passed away on Wednesday, September 25, 2019. Kenneth was born September 29, 1945 in San Bernardino, CA. He was a 1963 graduate of Pacific High School. He married Shirley Carlisle 54 years ago in San Bernardino, CA.

Kenneth joined the United States Army in 1966 and proudly served until 1969. He was stationed in Germany as helicopter mechanic and was quickly recognized for his talents in woodworking and fabrication. He loved being a veteran and was a proud American.

He loved working with his hands and had the skills to make anything out of wood. He loved to cook/BBQ for people, this passion encouraged him to open a restaurant where he worked beside his Father and family. He loved to experiment with foods, rubs, and sauces which led to his family famous BBQ sauce that was so good the bottles kept getting stolen off the tables. He also enjoyed singing for the Lord, his family will miss his beautiful voice. He loved giving everyone a nickname, from his first born "Moe" to his latest great granddaughter "Princess".

Kenneth loved his family. There wasn't anything that he wouldn't do for them, his friends, his neighbors, anyone. Kenneth is survived by his wife Shirley Gregg; daughters, Tammy Eddy; Suzie Janc; Debbie Menchaca; 11 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Maudie Gregg; Mother in Law, Cecilia Carlisle; sister, Peggy Levering; niece, Lisa; and nephews, Randy, Jim and Sean.

A visitation for Kenneth will be held Thursday, October 10, 2019 from 9:00 AM to 11:15 AM at Desert View Funeral Home, 11478 Amargosa Rd, Victorville, California 92392. A graveside service will occur Thursday, October 10, 2019 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at Desert View Memorial Park, 11500 Amargosa Rd, Victorville, California 92392.
