Our Dad, James (Jim) Allen Weir, went home to be with our Lord Jesus Christ on June 29, 2018. Everyone he met along the way was a friend. He was born in Chicago, Illinois to Gladys Hutchinson Weir and Lewis Weir. He grew up in Evansville, Indiana. He enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps in 1956 and served until 1963. He married Gail Ledford (Weir) in 1959, and she went home to with our Lord in 1997. James is survived by his daughter Melissa Weir Rediker (Todd); his son Matthew J. Weir (Deanna); his 2 grandsons Ian J. Weir (Casey) and Ethan A. Weir. He is also survived by his sister Mary Ann (Wayne) Wever and brother Donald Weir (Rena), both from Indiana. He has many nieces and nephews that he loved so much. He was a long time member of the Resilient Floor and Decorative Covering Union Local 1247, and a volunteer with San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department in Hesperia as a Citizen on Patrol. He was a member of Mt. View Baptist Church.
