I'm saddened to hear of the passing of my grandpa. He was a great mentor. He loved his country dearly. I remember staying up late at night when I was 14 years old watching Jeopardy with him. He was a Jeopardy champion and he always told me he was fond of me. He never once said an unkind word to me. Not only was he a hero, he also had a huge heart for people. Ever since I left California, I've missed him since and I shall miss until the day we meet again. I love you grandpa.

Words can't express what you mean to me my family. The world has lost not just and wonderful wise man but an American hero! So thankful for having you in my life and all you've taught me. Sure going to miss your story's . We LOVE you Gary!! Semper Fi Gunny
