He was baptized December 16, 1939 at St. Lawrence Church in Eunice, La according to the Rite of the Roman Catholic Church. He also attended Catholic school during his early years.
He was proceeded in death by his parents: Lucille George Martin in 1986 and Phillip Martin, five brothers: Phillip"Joe Louis" Martin in 1988, Herman "Grady" Martin in 1991, Herbert "Sonny" McZeal in 2008 and Joesph "Columbus" Martin in 2012.
He was retired and enjoyed
listening to loud oldies music , racing cars, and playing dominos.
Eugene is survived by his son Daniel Martin, Brother Edward "Bubba" Martin, two sisters in laws: Earnest Mae Martin and Daisy Mc Zeal, a special 101 year old Aunt Eva Clement, and host of nieces, nephews and other family members .
