Connie Cavalier

Connie Cavalier was born Concepción Mary Gutierrez on January 5, 1937 to Jose and Evalina Gutierrez in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Connie was raised in Albuquerque with her brother Servando and sisters Alice, Angie, Emily, and Rosemary. She and her family moved west in the 1960s and lived in Whittier, Chino, and Victorville, California. She was a dedicated mother to John Anthony Cavalier, Judy Lesseg, and Joe Cavalier.

She is survived by her brother Servando Gutierrez, sister Rosemary Harris, daughter Judy Lesseg, son Joe Cavalier, six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and extended family.

Connie enjoyed being social with friends; tending to her plants and home projects; and thoughtfully keeping in touch with those close to her with regular phone calls. She will be remembered for being a caring and supportive grandmother, loyal friend, a “crafty lady,” prolific seamstress, strong, fashionable, and independent.

Connie passed away in her sleep on the morning of November 25, 2022 in Victorville, California. A memorial service and celebration of life will be held at Desert View Memorial Park (11500 Amargosa Rd. Victorville, CA) on January 5, 2023 at 1:00pm.
