Bill Hall, 92, of Lucerne Valley, CA passed away to be with our Lord on January 24th, 2022. His death followed health complications, but he was supported by his loving family, & local community of which he served for many years. Bill will be remembered in Lucerne Valley as a Servant Pastor, helping those in need & as founder of the New Wine Men’s Retreat Center & Church …. this after a distinguished & decorated career in the United States Marine Corps.
Bill a retired US Marine Combat Veteran of WWII, Korea & Vietnam War, serving his country faithfully for 33 years. He was a part of military history, participating in the Battle of “Frozen” Chosin Reservoir where Bill along with 15,000 US Marines & US Army troops fought against the enemy of 80,000, in extreme cold weather conditions in N Korean during the winter of 1950 & part of USMC / Military History.
Returning home from the Korean War, Bill married Della Grace Moore (preceded in death) & raised a family of 5 children. The family moved to various locations & duty stations (Virginia, N & S Carolina, Florida, & California), before Bill served in the Vietnam conflict before retiring in 1974 & then settling in Southern California.
Bill is survived by his 5 children, Bill Jr., Wayne, Sylvia, Mary, Rose; Sister-in-Law, Ella Evelyn; 8 Grandchildren & 17 Great Grandchildren. He is preceded in death by Father Willie John Hall & Mother Izola Hall (maiden name Budgen); Brothers Luther & Lee, Sister Beatrice & Granddaughter Destiny Kuhn, Wife Della, & Second Wife Pricilla Hall.
Bill will be buried with Military Honors at the Riverside National Cemetery on February 11, 2022, at 1:00 pm. His Memorial Service at Calvary Chapel East Anaheim, February 12, 2022, at 11:00 am.
