Alvin began his career with the Apple Valley School District on August 8, 1953 as an educator at Mariana Elementary. Alvin then became the first principal to open Rancho Verde Elementary and then crossed the finish line of his forty year career back in the classroom at Mariana in December of 1993.
During his retirement years Alvin was an active member of the Apple Valley Historical Society and contributed many important historical facts that were eventually captured in literature and video productions and thus preserving the history and legacy of the Apple Valley community.
Alvin is survived by his oldest daughter Linda of Huntington Beach, his oldest son Gary of Oak Hills, his youngest daughter Sharon of Apple Valley and his youngest son Robert of Victorville. Alvin had a total of ten grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
At the age of eight, Alvin made the most important decision of his life and that was to invite Jesus into his heart as his savior. On October 25,2020 Alvin passed from life here on earth and was immediately brought into the presence of Jesus where his salvation was made complete. He is now enjoying eternal life in heaven-now face to face with his Savior !
A graveside service will be held on November 3rd at 10AM at Desert View Memorial Park, 11500 Amargosa Rd in Victorville Calif.
