She is survived by her daughter Sharon Howard (Lange) Smith (Reed); son Dale Howard (Kathy); stepson Chuck Wagner (Laura) and step daughter Kris Naquin (Ronnie.)
Wilma & Al blended their families for a total of six children who provided fourteen grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren
Grandchildren: Shawn Lange, Matthew Lange, Kurt Lange, Karen Howard , Denice Howard, Melissa Howard, Blair Wagner, Drue Wagner, Garrett Wagner, Cassie Naquin, Michael Naquin, Chase Naquin, Jason Keith and Justen Immenhauser.
Wilma Francis McClure (Howard) Wagner made her home in Victoria, Texas since 1967 and passed away on March 18, 2022, at the age of 89. Wilma was born in Amhurst, TX and moved to Carlsbad, New Mexico. She graduated in 1951 from Carlsbad High School (Carlsbad Cavemen.). In 1952, Wilma married Reece Howard and began raising a family of four children for the next 28 years.
In 1985, Wilma married Al for another 28 years before his passing in 2013. They enjoyed dancing; he taught her to shoot and go deer hunting with him, and to swim. They were good for each other and had a very loving marriage.
She worked at Alkek Oil Company before moving to the law offices at the Victoria Tax Office where she worked for 38 years.
President of ABWA: she and her best friend, Mary, attended ABWA Conventions all over the nation; she presented workshops; coordinated the Miss Victoria pageant
Hobbies: sewed many of the kid’s clothes and hers, scrapbooking for all her photos, and DANCING. If Wilma wasn’t dressed to the hilt for work, starched jeans, blouse and jewelry because she Loved her country music.
Funeral Service will be 1 PM on Wednesday at Rosewood Funeral Chapel, 3304 Mockingbird Lane with burial to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery, 2201 N. Main Street.
The family would like to recognize and thank Harbor Hospice who took care of Wilma for 2 ½ years and the wonderfully compassionate ladies who cared for her at Dover House and Purple Petal Personal Care/Shondra and her staff.
