Waylan Justin Brannan, Jr., 63, went to be with the Lord on Friday, June 10, 2016. He was born on March 6, 1953 in San Antonio to Bonnie Beatrice Holstein Brannan and the late Waylan Justin Brannan, Sr. In the 50 years of being a part of Brannan Paving Co, Ltd. he has gone from holding a shovel at the age 12 to growing and operating one of the largest paving companies in Texas. He will always be remembered for pioneering and raising the bar of the paving industry to where the seal coat industry is today. He loved both his biological family and his extended family at BPC. He was an avid outdoorsman in the field and on the water, whose highest joy was sharing God’s creation with family and friends. He thoroughly enjoyed seeing all of the Brannan Paving families celebrating Christmas, his favorite holiday. He loved being a member of First Baptist Church of Victoria.
Waylan is survived by his mother, Bonnie Brannan; daughters, Brandi Barthels and husband, Russell of Victoria, Kimbralee Mosman and husband, Craig of Victoria; son, Waylan Justin Brannan III of Victoria; sister, Bonnie Vollmering and husband, Shawn of Victoria and grandchildren, Hunter, Mackenzie, Heather and Kelsey.
Waylan is preceded in death by his father and two brothers, Charles and Glenn Brannan.
