Toribio T. Garcia

Toribio T. Garcia, 82, of Victoria passed away on Thursday, April 24, 2014. He was born April 27, 1931 in Los Fresnos, TX to the late Eliseo and Severia Torres Garcia. Toribio was employed by the City of Victoria for over 26 years as a truck driver.

Survivors include his wife, Angelita Licerio Garica; daughters, Rosemary (Thomas) DeLos Santos of Victoria, Celia (Ernest) Turrubiartes of Victoria, Delmiria (Freddy) Ovalle of Port Lavaca; sons, Guadalupe Garcia, Juan R. Garcia, Toribio Garcia, Jr. and Alex (Gracie) Mendieta all of Victoria; sister, Yulonda Alaniz of Kingsville; brother, Anastasio Garcia of Bloomington; fourteen grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren and seven great great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Garcia was preceded in death by a daughter; one son; one sister; two brothers; two granddaughters and seven great grandchildren.

A rosary will be recited at 7 PM on Monday, April 28, 2014 at Rosewood Funeral Chapels. The Mass of Christian Burial will be on Tuesday at 1 PM at Our Lady of Sorrows with Rev. Daniel Houde officiating. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Isaac De Los Santos, Mike De Lo Santos, Tommy De Los Santos, Alex Mendieta, Angel De Los Santos and Lucio Licerio III.
