Tom Pena Jr.

Tom Pena, Jr., 56, of Victoria passed away Tuesday, May 4, 2010, following a brief illness. He was born October 26, 1953, in Victoria to Tom and Dolores Marez Pena. Mr. Pena was a retired water therapist, a Catholic and a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church.

He was a loving husband and a wonderful son and brother. Tom had a generous heart always there to help anyone in need. He always had a smile on his face and was a friend to all who knew him.

Mr. Pena is survived by his wife and best friend, Maricela Pena of Victoria; his parents, Tom and Dolores Pena of Nursery; two step-sons, Joe Willie Martinez of Cameron, and Noe Martinez of Victoria; three sisters, Sylvia Ortega (Manuel) of Friendswood, Mary Mooney (Darrell) of Victoria, and Magdalena Schauer of Victoria; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A rosary will be recited at 7 pm on Thursday, May 6, 2010, at the Rosewood Funeral Chapel.

Funeral Mass will be held at 10 am on Friday, May 7, 2010, at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to Our Lady of Sorrows Building Fund or masses.
