Stephen Richard Sloane

Steve will be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather, as well as a loyal friend. He retired from the Marine Corps after 23 years of active duty and from Civil Service after 20 years of work. For over 30 years he volunteered with the Boy Scouts acting as Scoutmaster, trainer, committee member and Order of the Arrow advisor. He was a member of LifePointe Fellowship and Man2Man Ministries. Since moving to Victoria, he enjoyed volunteering at Victoria Christian Assistance Ministry.

He is preceded in death by daughter Shelly, son Sean, and granddaughter Torii. He is survived by wife Brenda; sons, Scott, Stephen (Tanya), and Philip (Traci); granddaughters Annalisa, Bethany, Morning Glory, Laura, Sarah and Samantha; and grandson, Alex.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, November 19, at Son Valley Ranch. Pastors Leslie Cole and Glenn Dry will officiate. Full military honors will be presented by the Victoria Veterans Council. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you donate to Victoria Christian Assistance Ministry or the Boy Scouts.
