Shirley Rose Smith

Shirley Rose Rollins-Smith, 85, of Victoria went to be with her Lord on Saturday, April 25, 2015. She was born to James Rollins and Lillian Sheffield Rollins on March 15, 1930 in her home of Yoakum, TX.

Shirley had a great love for her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed the outdoors and had a passion for rehabilitating and caring for abandoned cats. With eyes that sparkled and a vibrant smile she could easily light up a room.

Shirley will be greatly missed by her sons, David & Susan Smith of Houston, and Daryl & Jenny Smith of Victoria; her grandchildren: Bo & Misty Garrison along with their children Kara Steininger (12) & Zane Steininger (9) of Hays, KS; Daniel & Lexi Smith along with their child Liviana Smith (6) of Victoria; and Justin Smith of Austin, TX.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved husband, Allen “Ray” Smith.

A memorial will be held in her honor at Rosewood Funeral Home on Friday, May 1, 2015 from 6pm-8pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of South Texas and Adopt-A-Pet.
