Ruthie Mae Nelson

Ruthie Mae Nelson, 90, of Victoria passed away January 8, 2018. She was born December 16, 1927, in Rogers, TX to Pete Tyler and Willie Mae Crone. She worked as a telephone operator, church secretary and taught Sunday school at Northside Baptist Church for many years. She also sang in Sweet Adelines, and was co/owner of Martin Printing for 20+years.

She is survived by her daughters, Beverly Kay Parker (Mike P.), Brenda Roell (Mike R.), Debbie Ewing Sarver (Barney); son, Daryl Nelson (Liz); best friend of 66 years, Bobbye Altman; 10 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John R. Nelson; son, Ray E. Nelson; parents and brothers, Burnis Tyler and Ray Dell Tyler.

Visitation will be held Thursday, January 11, 2018 from 9-10 a.m. at Northside Baptist Church. Funeral services immediately following at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens.

Pallbearers are Mike Parker, Mike Roell, Barney Sarver, Mikey Parker, Jeremy Roell and Daryl Nelson II.

Now she is rejoicing in Heaven with her Lord and Savior.
