He spent most of his life in Victoria, Texas raising his two children, Donna and Pam, with his late wife of 42 years, Bernice Ann Baschnagel Lee. During his life he worked in the oilfield, owned his own pump service company, and worked as a pipefitter until his retirement. He served in the US Army as part of the First Guided Missile Group and received an honorable discharge at the rank of CPL. He loved country music, watching old westerns, reading, visiting with his friends, and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his children, Donna Connors and Pam Pennington; sons-in-law, Brian Connors and Ron Pennington; two granddaughters, Megan Sommer and Kelly Segall, along with their husbands, Brandon Sommer and Dalton Segall; and two great-grandchildren, Sadie Sommer and Walker Segall. He was preceded in death by his sister, Sharon Whitefield, and is survived by his brother Rayford Lee and two nieces, Crystal Whitefield and Tammy Lee.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Rosewood Funeral Chapel in Victoria, Texas on Saturday, August 3, 2024 at 10:00 AM.
