Ronnie graduated from Hobbs High School in 1974. His career was as an HVAC specialist, but he was a jack of all trades and could build or fix just about anything. He loved to fish, although he didn’t ever make enough time for it, and he inherited his Papaw’s green thumb in the garden. Ron loved to cook and always passed along recipes to the family. He proudly served in the U.S. Army from 1980 to 1983 as a Military Police Investigator. As a member of the New Mexico All-State Choir, he was able to travel to Germany and sing at the Opening Ceremony for the 1972 Olympics.
He is survived by the love of his life, Caren Adamson; his children, Hollie Silva (Emanuel) of Hobbs, NM; Staff Sergeant Brandon McGill (Elizabeth) of El Paso, Texas; Brett Adamson of Victoria; and Bobbie Chappell (Chris) of San Antonio. He is also survived by his mother, Betty Creech Baker (Neal) of Victoria; one brother, Keith McGill (Jane) of Odessa; one sister, Robin Robbins of Lubbock. He leaves behind 12 grandchildren, Jessica, Chloe, Scott, Miley, and Justice Silva; Jaden, Trinity, and Branton “Buddha” McGill; Caleb, Sophie, Evelyn, and Lincoln Chappell; a niece, Haley Henry, and a nephew, Matt McGill. He leaves many cousins and friends, as well as his beloved Isaiah, Hope, and Lovey, three beautiful Labradoodle rescues, who brightened his life and were always at his side.
Ron was preceded in death by his father, Joe Creech, and his Pompom and Papaw, who were very important in his life on earth, and were there to greet him at the doors of heaven.
