Robert Ray Rodriguez, 59, of Victoria, Texas, passed away peacefully, on June 15, 2018 with his loving wife by his side. He will be greatly missed by all those who knew him and will be remembered for his humble nature, kind-heart and brightest of smiles.
Born in Cuero, Texas on August 31,1958; he is the son of Raymond and Nestora Trevino Rodriguez. He graduated from Calhoun High School in 1977 and worked as a process operator for Formosa Plastics for 25 Years.
Robert was a man of faith and a devoted servant of God. He was a parishioner of The Jesus Church where he met the love of his life and best friend, Lizabeth "Liz" Aleman and the couple wed on July 3, 1981. They were happily married for 37 years. He enjoyed woodworking and was a talented carpenter.
He is survived by his wife, Lizabeth; son, Nathaniel “Nathan” of New Braunfels; daughter, Afton of Victoria; and grandchildren, Lydia and Elijah; brother, Richard Rodriguez of Cuero; sister, Rebecca Rodriguez of Corpus Christi; and other family and friends.
Robert is preceded in death by his parents, Raymond O. Rodriguez and Nestora Rodriguez; and brother, Ronnie Rodriguez.
Visitations will be held at Rosewood Funeral Home at 6:00pm, Tuesday, June 19. Funeral service will be held at 10:00am, Wednesday, June 20 at The Jesus Church on Main Street in Victoria, Texas. Pastor A.L. Kight will be officiating. Burial will follow the funeral service at Memorial Park Cemetary. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Rosewood Funeral Home.
Pallbearers are Nathan Rodriguez, Geno Eschenburg, John Ranjel, James Stafford, Jacob Lopez, Esau Lopez, Terry McCarthy, and Vincent Aldana.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to The Jesus Church or The Ballard House in Katy,Texas.
