Robert Joseph Moore, Jr., 74, passed away Wednesday, December 2, 2015. He was born February 4, 1941 in Cuero, Texas to the late Robert Joseph and Alma Jean Thiverige Moore, Sr. He graduated from Cuero High School and he proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. After 32 years of dedicated service, he retired from DuPont & served in several organizations, such as Victoria County 4-H (swine leader), Victoria Little League (coach); member of American Legion Post 166 (Past Commander), Vietnam Veterans Chapter 898 and VFW Post 4146. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. Robert enjoyed spending time with his family, as well as hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his loving wife, Nancy W. Moore; sons, Gary (Denice) Moore and Mark (Beth) Moore, all of Victoria; grandchildren, Garrett Campbell, Zachary, Shelby, Savannaha, Samantha and Sloan Moore; sisters, Donna (Sam) Johnson and Debbie (Jim) Cook; and step sister, Jeanne (Carl) Mauer.
A Visitation will be held from 6 – 7 pm, Friday, December 4, 2015 at Colonial Funeral Home followed by a Rosary at 7 pm. A Funeral Mass will be held 10:00 am, Saturday, December 5, 2015 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Burial to follow at Resurrection Cemetery with Full Military Honors under the auspices of the Victoria County Veterans Council. Pallbearers will be Anthony Moore, Jr, Todd Heibel, Garrett Campbell, Mark Benoit, Joe Rainosek and Kenneth Kurtz. Honorary pallbearer is Rocky Willitte.
