Robert “Bobby” Thomas Trevino (65), loving husband, father and grandfather passed away on November 27, 2023. Bobby was a lifelong resident of Victoria, Texas, born on September 22, 1958, to the late Beatrice Bazan and Federico Trevino.
Bobby was a proud member of the Victoria community who served in many organizations throughout his life. He was a member of the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Knights of Columbus, the Christian Youth Organization, the Breakfast Club, and president of the local and state Texas Restaurant Association. Additionally, Bobby was a freelance photographer and was a partner with the Revisita De Victoria Newspaper. Bobby proudly served as a trustee on the VISD Board of Trustees for over 12 years. Bobby positively impacted our community, and he will be truly missed.
Bobby embarked a career that showcased his strong work ethic and dedication. Bobby proudly ran his family’s restaurant, Siesta Mexican Restaurant, from the age of 21 to 48, and owned Maggie’s Meat Market for two years. Bobby greatly enjoyed seeing all his customers and serving his family’s recipes.
Bobby is survived by his wife, Maria Trevino; children, Roberto “Kiko” Trevino (Sarah), Donna Santillan (Mykeal), Monica Trevino (Adam), and Jose Trevino (Mariana); Siblings, Gloria Cano (Julius), Francis Franklin (Rodney), Esther Trevino, and John Trevino; and grandchildren, Amelie Adame, Anthony Adame, Sean Carbajal and Sophia Vargas. Bobby is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Ana Maria Trevino; sister, Beatrice Trevino, and brother, Richard Trevino.
A man of integrity and warmth, Bobby will be remembered for his professional achievements, his generosity, compassion, and the love he showered upon those closest to him. Visitation will be held Thursday, November 30, 2023, from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M., at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 P.M. The Funeral Mass will be Friday, December 1, 2023, at 9:00 A.M., at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church with burial to immediately follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Roberto “Kiko” Trevino, Jose Trevino, Rodney Franklin, Stephen Rodarte, Adam Adame, Mykeal Santillan, Pedro Lopez Jr, and Clemen “Princess” Hernandez.
Honorary Pallbearers are Chris Rivera, Emett Alvarez, Ruben Cruz, Melton Nietsch, Julius Cano, John
Trevino, Rodney Franklin, Anthony Adame, and Sean Carbajal.
