My condolences to Rita’s family.  I just saw almost a month late of her passing.  My heart is broken.  She was an amazing woman that was loved by all who met her.  I know she is With our Lord and all her family including my sister Kathy. Rita was so sweet and made a handbag for Kathy. She brought the handbag to the mass in June of 2015, Rita did not know that my sister passed away few weeks prior to the Healing mass in June of 2015.  You will always be remembered in our hearts.  We will see you soon dear Sister in Christ.

I know I am doing this late, but memories of such a beautiful person are never too late to share.  During my 17 years as Postmaster in Tivoli, I was blessed to see Rita most every day.  And the thing I will always remember is how caring and kind she was.  Rita had a special gift of making others feel comfortable.  It was hard to end a 'chat session' with her because she was so easy to talk to I just didn't want our visit to end. The fact that she trusted Lori and let her babysit really meant a lot to me.   And I think Davy even volunteered his services to get to go play with Stacey and Ben.  I have so many beautiful memories of a beautiful lady.  And Rita, I have no doubt your smile is lighting up Heaven and making it even more special.  Until we meet again...Rest In Peace my precious friend!!

To the Wolfshohl and the Wise families.  Matt and I are sending our deepest condolences to all of you.  Rita and I go all the way back to the 60's. Lots and lots of fun times. Rita was always so, so smart. We are having a Mass said for her and her brother Vernon at St. Joseph catholic church here in Livingston tomorrow 7-11-2021. I know she just helped me write this because she and Vernon are in heaven looking down on all of you and I hope me too!Lots and lots of Love and Prayers to all of you.


I had the privilege of having Rita as a student at Austwell-Tivoli when I first started my teaching career. She excelled in both academics and athletics throughout her high school years and was valedictorian of the 1975 graduating class. Rita became our school business manager throughout my 34 years at A-T ISD. If there was ANY type of problem, Rita was ALWAYS the person everyone sought out. She probably has a dozen items on her agenda that day, but she would find time to help solve yours. 

Rita was the Rock of Gibraltar of A-T ISD her entire career there until she retired. She was a fixture at her Church and in our community. Rita will be missed by all, but she left an indelible place in so many people’s hearts she won’t be forgotten. 

Oh what a loss. Good people leave this sinful world early to go and rest in the abode of light eternal. When I spoke with Rita few weeks ago, she sounded strong as usual and also very cheerful as always even as she was undergoing a precarious situation and excruciating pain. 
I came to know Rita few years ago when I started celebrating mass at Our Lady of Guadalupe, Tivoli through the invitation of Fr. Victor the pastor. Rita was a generous person and a great asset to the Catholic Church especially in Tivoli. Her services to God will always be remembered and I do not have any doubt of her resting in the bosom of Abraham our father in faith. 
I was shocked the day I received the sad news from Fr. Victor about your demise Rita. I am still in tears of your exit from this world. I will miss your dearly because you were inspirational and supportive to me. I will mourn you joyfully because you fought the good fight which merits a crown of glory. Ride on Rita till we meet to part no more. May God grant those you left behind, especially your husband the fortitude to bear your loss.
Adieu Rita. Journey well to the great beyond where there is tranquility and peaceful rest. May your soul and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God rest in peace. Amen.

I am sad that Rita is no longer on this earth but am relieved she is free of the illness that she beat for so many years. Her example of faith and courage was noteworthy and should be emulated.
Rita was a huge part of my childhood in Tivoli. We were in and out of each other's houses. Jan, Rita, and I were all bookworms but we still had lots of fun. The wonderful memories are too numerous to list, but Rita and I spent lots of time reminiscing over the past seven years. She loved being a wife, mother, and grandmother and she did it so well. She was also an awesome friend. The hole in my heart is huge but it will heal as I continue my life's journal with her watching over me. 

Eternal rest grant unto her O Lord and may perpetual light shine upon her. May the grace and peace of Christ surround and comfort Bruce and the rest of the family as you celebrate her life and deal with the reality of her passing. My prayers are with all of you.
