Pedro C. Rubio

Pedro C. Rubio, 70, of Victoria, left to be with the Lord on June 22, 2015. He was born December 18, 1944 to Juanita C. Rubio and the late Tomas R. Rubio. He will be remembered as a retired diesel mechanic, a family man and an excellent cook.

He is survived by his mother, Juanita C. Rubio; sister, Rosa Hernandez; son, Thomas G. (Mary Helen) Rubio; grandsons, Thomas V. (Amanda) Rubio, Richard Salinas; granddaughter, Olga (John Paul) Esparza; great-grandchildren, Angel, John, Matthew and Hannah Esparza; step-daughter, Cynthia Ortiz; step-sons, Ron (Janie) Ortiz, Edward (Patsy) Ortiz, Michael Ortiz; and 13 step-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father; wife, Hesusa “Susie” Rubio; wife, Frances G. Ortiz-Rubio; and brothers, Gilbert and Jesse Rubio.

The family will receive guests from 6 to 8 pm, Friday, June 26, 2015 at Colonial Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held 10:00 am, Saturday, June 27, 2015. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery. Pallbearers will be John Paul Esparza, Thomas Vincent Rubio, Jesse Rubio Jr., David Rubio, Robert Garza and Eddie Ortiz.
