Paula Morris

Paula worked for Gulf Bend M H M R Center for 12 years before retiring due to her illness. She enjoyed every moment spent with her clients to help with make daily achievements in their own lives. She was nominated twice for the Segar Award, in 2007 and 2008, and was very honored and happy to of been nominated. She was a volunteer for Special Olympics for over 10 years. She attended Grace Lutheran Church .

She was a loving and giving Mom, and often said her greatest accomplishments were her children and grandchildren. She loved everyone, never met a stranger, and was a ‘Mom’ to many. She was a true friend to many, and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Paula is survived by her children, Marilyn Weygand, and John Paul Morris; grandchildren, Robert Luis Longoria, Brian Brewer, and Jazlyn Morris. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her brother, Peter Paul Weygand Jr.

Visitation will be held 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm Tuesday, December 28, 2010 at Colonial Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held 10:00 am Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at Colonial Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Chris Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery . Serving as pallbearers will be John Morris, Leland Truax, Todd Burdette, Jeremy Morris, Robert Vargas, Mickey Helms, Bash Rivera, Josh Blackman, and Richard Wright.

Honorary pallbearers are her children and grandchildren, Angie Truax, Sharon Burdette, Anna Andersen, Rebekah and Samuel Truax, Jami Burdette, Justin Burdette and Don Polzin.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
