Patricia L. Winter passed away peacefully in her home on Wednesday the 26th of March 2025 . She was 82 years of age. She was born on the 31st of August 1942 in Shidler, OK to Wesley Oliver and Nellie Viola Barnett Caudle.
Patricia was an advertising manager for the Jackson County Herald formerly known as the Edna Herald.
Cooking and hosting events for the family is what Patricia truly enjoyed and of course cheering for her favorite team The Dallas Cowboys. Love for adventure and nature, and a passion for being outdoors led to Patricia being able to hunt and fish, a passion she passed on to her children.
She is survived by her children Michele R. Janca (Andrew) of Goliad; Kevin Wayne Cox (Karen) of Brownwood, Gregory Todd Cox (Kiz) of Port Alto and her brother whom she raised Steve L. Caudle (Kathy) of Palacios. Patricia is also loved and remembered by eleven grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Patricia was preceded in death by her husband Julius A. Winter on January 1, 2021.
Friends are cordially invited to greet the family during a visitation on Saturday the 29th of March beginning at 9 AM. A rosary is to follow at 9:30 and the Mass of Christian Burial is at 10 am at The Cathedral of Our Lady of Victory. Graveside services will be held at 1 PM at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Nada, TX.
Pallbearers will be Joshua Cox, Todd Janca, Tyler Janca, Trace Wagner, Wesley Caudle and Judah Lee.
