Nanci Kreczmer Koliba was born on March 14, 1944, to John and Nancy (DeNardo) Kreczmer in Chicago, Illinois. She graduated from San Marcos High School in San Marcos, Texas. She attended the University of Texas at Austin and then graduated in 1967 from Southwest Texas State University with a B.A. in English. While at Southwest Texas, she was a member of the Majorette Corps. In 1982, she received a Masters Degree in Education from the University of Houston-Victoria. During this time she was inducted into the Honor Society Phi Kappa Phi.
She spent the majority of her life as an educator teaching at Bloomington High School, Devereux, El Campo High School and Stroman High School.
She passed away on Tuesday, March 20, 2018. She is survived by her husband, Joseph (Duke) Spahn of Victoria; brother, John Kreczmer II of Austin; son, John Koliba (Shelby) of Victoria; and daughter, Audra Daughtry (Kevin), Atlanta, GA. She is also survived by four step children, three grandchildren, and nine step grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Nancy Kreczmer.
