Michelle Reneé Dial Humphries arrived in this world at 5:19 a.m. on Friday, April 18, 1969. She departed unexpectedly in her home on the morning of Thursday, November 30, 2023. During her time on this Earth, Michelle lived a servant life, loving and caring for every being who crossed her path.
She was born at St. Francis Hospital in Wichita, Kansas, to Judith Dale Smith Dial of Kentucky and Michael Curtis Dial of Kansas. She and her family later moved to Bentonville, Arkansas, where she resided through her elementary years. She returned to Rogers, Arkansas, from Texas for part of her high school career. She then relocated to Texas for her senior year. Michelle graduated Magna Cum Laude from Victoria High School in Texas in 1987. Between her time in Arkansas and Texas, she left an incredible mark.
She went on to attend Victoria College in Victoria, Texas.
On Friday, December 12, 1997, she married the love of her life, Larry Humphries. On Tuesday, January 29, 2002, she gave birth to her precious son, Logan Humphries. He was Michelle’s entire world. Michelle’s devotion to her family knew no bounds, and her role as a wife and mother brought her immeasurable happiness.
She started her career with Watermark Graphics in 1995. Michelle served as the Office Manager at Watermark Graphics until the day of her untimely passing. She was a dedicated employee and was loved by her co-workers. During her time at Watermark, she was an integral part of the Watermark Graphics family and the success of the company.
She was a devoted member of Parkway Church.
She was an active member of various PTOs throughout Logan’s education. In her community, she actively volunteered at: Christ’s Kitchen, Warriors Weekend, Dorothy O’Connor Pet Adoption Center, and the Sportsman Church. Her community involvement extended to many other volunteer activities, leaving a lasting impact on those she served.
Michelle loved to travel, visit with family and friends, and spend time serving in her community. She was an avid reader and movie enthusiast, loved attending music concerts, and enjoyed playing Bunco with her friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Judith Smith; her father, Michael C. Dial; her brother, Dwane Maynard; her brother, Curtis Dial; her grandparents, James & Francis Smith (maternal) and Willard & Elsie Dial (paternal), and Larry’s parents, Ross and Jane Humphries.
Michelle is survived by her loving husband of 26 years, Larry Humphries; her cherished son, Logan Humphries; her step-mother, Deanna Dial; her sister, Wendi Jones (Mike); her brother, Michael James Dial (Kindra); her sister, Ashley Williams (Edward), her sister-in-law, Kathy (Humphries) Patton. Twelve nieces and nephews; Michael Dial, Kori Ford, Jonathan Dial, Kreeli Ford, Tiffany (Dial) Jackson, Jessica (Maynard) Ryan, Aleson Williams, Nicholas Williams, Christopher Patton, Stephanie Patton (Laurel), Kasey Humphries and Matthew Humphries. Plus, her sidekick and beloved dog, Scout, and loyal cat, Callie. She also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends. Her passing truly leaves a void.
Michelle’s beautiful smile and empathetic heart will be greatly missed as she touched the lives of many. She exemplified God’s two greatest commandments: to love the Lord with all of your heart and to love thy neighbor. A light truly went out the day she left this world. Her legacy of love and service will forever shine brightly in the hearts of those who were beyond blessed to know her.
Visitation will be held at Rosewood Funeral Chapel on Friday, December 8, 2023, from 6 pm to 8 pm.
Funeral Services will be held at Parkway Church with Pastor Mike Hurt officiating on Saturday, December 9, 2023, at 10 am.
