Mia Yvette Stubblefield Ford, 51, of Victoria, passed away on Tuesday, July 23, 2019. She was born at Citizens Medical Center in Victoria to Betty Pedersen and Douglas Stubblefield on August 7, 1967. She was a graduate of Bloomington High School where she was a cheerleader, in the band and participated in The Victoria Livestock Show. Mia married Doug Ford on October 4, 2017 in The Little Vegas Chapel, in Las Vegas. She worked as a housekeeper for Parkway Church and Crescent Valley Baptist Church. Mia enjoyed traveling, spending time with family, reading, cooking, dancing, going to concerts and watching movies. Lacie, her four-legged fur baby, also had a special place in her heart. Mia will be remembered as a loving wife, daughter, sister, mother, aunt and grandmother who left us too soon.
Mia is preceded in death by her grandfather, George Jank; her step-grandfather, Wallace Broussard; her uncle, George Dale; and her grandmothers, Ann Lenz and Lillie Broussard.
Mia is survived by her husband, Doug Ford; her three children, Mercedes Ortega (Noel Ortega), Sierra Robles, and Trace Meitzen: her brother, Charles Stubblefield; her parents, Betty Pedersen and Douglas Stubblefield; her step-father, Stephen Pedersen; her step-grandmother, Lillian Jank; her grandchild, Angelo Ortega; and her nephew, Kyle Stubblefield.
Visitation will be held from 5 pm – 7 pm Sunday, July 28, 2019 at Rosewood Funeral Chapel. A memorial service will follow at 7 pm with Pastor Jeff Jud officiating.
