Melody Dawn Sanchez, 56, of Victoria, passed away January 13, 2024. Melody was born February 27, 1967 in Clark, Nevada to the late Helen Joan Shook and Norwood Simmons.

Melody is survived by her husband, Jose Sanchez of Victoria; daughter, Shaina Oliver (Josh) of Calhoun, Georgia; sisters, Teresa Martin of Elko, Nevada, Tammy Brush of Tonopah, Nevada; step-daughters, Skye Sanchez of Victoria, Dominique Sanchez of Littlefield, Texas and her grandchildren, Jaxen, Amelia, Sadie Oliver, Julian Rodriguez, Angelena Rodriguez, Georgiana King, Adaline King, Khloe Martinez and Oliver Garcia. Melody also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews to cherish her memory.

Visitation for family and friends will be Tuesday, January 23, 2024 from 10:00 AM-8:00 PM at Rosewood Funeral Chapel.

A second visitation will be Wednesday, January 24, 2024 from 9 AM-11:30 PM at Rosewood Funeral Chapels.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, January 24, 2024 at 1 PM at Faith Family Church with burial to immediately follow at Memory Garden Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Joseph Garza, Joel Martinez, Eloy Cisneros, Mike Heinzig, Jordan Ortiz, Julian Rodriguez and JoAnn Perez.

To honor her love for animal’s memorial donations may be made to Adopt-a-Pet of Victoria or Dorothy O’Connor Pet Adoption Center.
