Margaret Louise Chamblee Cleveland, 92, formerly of Victoria, TX, joined The Lord Our God Wednesday, February 27, 2019. Margaret was born December 11, 1926 in Kaufman, TX to the late Annie Daniels Chamblee and Roy Douglas Chamblee.
Margaret grew up attending the Baptist church in Palacios, TX along with her entire family. In her earlier years, Margaret was a member of The Order of the Eastern Star. She spent most of her life as a housewife and mother. She enjoyed playing bingo, card games, dominos, and poker throughout her life. She also enjoyed occasional trips to Las Vegas and Mississippi, but mostly enjoyed her time visiting and singing with her brothers, sisters, and extended family.
Margaret is survived by her daughter, Mary Louise Clary Day of San Antonio, TX; sisters, Annie Loraine Chamblee Smith of Palacios, TX, Shirley Jean Chamblee Griffith of Victoria, TX; grandson, Phillip Michael Day (Jenifer Renea Fuller Day) of Bulverde, TX; Two grandchildren, Jesicah Summer Day and Evan Michael Day and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Luther Russell (Willie) Cleveland; sisters, Evelyn Pauline Chamblee, Alma Francis Chamblee Milam, Ethel Lee Chamblee Kunefke, Wilma Faye Chamblee Bates; brothers, Roy Douglas Chamblee Jr. and Freddie Wayne Chamblee.
A graveside service will be Friday, March 1, 2019 at 3 PM at Memory Gardens Cemetery Mausoleum.
