Leslie W. Janssen, 88, of Victoria, passed away on September 18, 2017 in Victoria. Leslie was born in Moulton, Texas to Fritz and Clara Janssen on November 3, 1928. He graduated from St. Joseph High School. He married Elizabeth Bianchi on July 30 in Victoria, Texas. He graduated from Victoria College. He worked as a instrumentation and computer technician for Dupont for 34 years. He was a veteran of the Korean War and served in the Air Force, retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel. He was involved in the Knights of Columbus since the 1950s.
Leslie was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth, and brother, James Janssen. Leslie is survived by son, Doug (Mary Kay), grandchildren, Nicholas and Melanie.
A Rosary will be recited Thursday, September 21, 2017 at Holy Family Catholic Church, at 1:30 pm. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, September 21 at Holy Family with the Father George Henninger officiating, assisted by Father Gabriel Bentil. Entombment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Lance Thomasson, Dusty Pierce, Chris Franklin, John Speed, Matthew Speed and Brett Bianchi.
Memorials may be given to Holy Family Catholic Church.
