Larry Barton

Larry Barton, 71, of Victoria passed away June 28, 2014. He was born July 18, 1942, in Dallas, Texas to the late Albert Lee and Frances King Barton. Larry worked for DuPont for 32 years and retired as an operations supervisor. He was an active member of MidTown Church of Christ, active in Little League, an amateur radio operator, member of the Civilian Police Academy Alumni Association, and the Victoria County Sheriff’s Auxiliary.

He is survived by his wife Karon Sneed Barton of Victoria; daughter Tonya Barton Wilkinson and husband John of Austin; sons Scott Barton and wife Rosalba of Victoria; and Michael Barton and wife Tess of Austin; brother Richard Barton of Port Lavaca; grandchildren Brandon Wilkinson, Britney Wilkinson, Brooke Wilkinson, Ashley Barton, Ashton Barton, Alexis Barton and Ethan Barton.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Frankie Lee Barton, and infant son, Todd Alan Barton.

The family will receive friends Monday, June 30, 2014, from 6 to 8 PM at Rosewood Funeral Chapels. Services will be held at 10 AM Tuesday, July 1, 2014, at Rosewood Funeral Chapels with Mr. Clay Bond officiating. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery.

If one so desires, donations may be made to MidTown Church of Christ or donor’s choice.

Pallbearers will be Max Pooley, Richard Tisue, Tom Pitchford, Steve Randle, Scott DeDear, and Paul Purswell.
