Kenneth F. Orr

North Carolina to the late Frank B. and Mary Lee Hilliard Orr. Kenneth raced for NASCAR as a young man.

Kenneth proudly served during the Vietnam War, several oversea tours and retired as a Chief Warrant Officer

from the U.S. Army. He was an avid gardener, enjoyed motorcycle rides through the country,

was everybody’s favorite mechanic and loved to read. Kenneth had a wealth of knowledge that he loved

to share with everyone he met and kept friends and family on their toes with his wittiness and humor.

He truly loved to share time with his family.

Kenneth is survived by his loving wife, Dale Calcote Orr, son, Jimmy Orr (Nancy) of San Antonio;

daughters, Dorothe Orr of Franklinton NC, and Laura Hinton of Deer Park, TX; grandchildren,

Jason Orr (Melissa) of Victoria, Tyler Orr of San Antonio, Jackson Carruba of North Carolina, Jenifer Orr

of Houston, Nicole Boyle of San Antonio, and Audrey Hinton of Deer Park and great grandchildren,

Steven, Patrick, Brenden, Lila, Niko, Kaylinda, and Iris.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Roscoe Orr and Elvin Orr; sister, Alice Collier

and grandson, Benjamin Hinton.

A visitation will be held from 6 to 8 pm, Thursday, January 1, 2015 at Colonial Funeral Home.

A Funeral Service will be held 10:00 am, Friday, January 2, 2015 at Colonial Funeral Home with

Pastor Robert Krause officiating. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Darrell Calcote, Dwayne Calcote, Tim Krause, Johnny Krause, Tyler Ray Orr

and Jason Orr. Honorary pallbearers are Jason Moses and Ricky Moses.

Memorials may be made to Texas Children’s Lung Transplant Program, Houston, TX or

University Transplant Center, San Antonio, TX.
