Kenneth Wayne Brumley

Kenneth Wayne Brumley, 75, of Victoria passed away October 6, 2011, at 12:59 a.m. Ken was born December 20, 1935, in LaMesa, to the late A.D. and Jane Brumley. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother. He loved to fish and he had many good fishing stories; and he loved to spend time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Ken retired from DuPont Chemical Company after 34 years of service. He was a member of Northside Baptist Church in Victoria.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Donald N. Brumley of Marshall.

Ken is survived by his wife of 53 years, Jo Ann Brumley; son, Alan Brumley and wife, Shana, of Humble; daughters, Allyson Friedrich of Portland, and Andrea Lauper and husband, Brian, of McKinney; seven grandchildren, Alyssa and Kaitlyn Brumley, Lindsey, Sarah, and David Zabel, and Brooke and Lauren Lauper; and two step-grandsons, CJ and Josh McMinn; sister, Janice Beard, and brother, Billy Brumley, both of Vidor.

Funeral services will be at Northside Baptist Church, 4100 N. Laurent, Victoria, on Saturday, October 8, 2011, at 3:00 PM with the Rev. Tim Williams officiating. Burial will be at Hillside Cemetery in Cuero.

Pallbearers will be Jimmy Jurica, Jim Billings, Marvin Williamson, Leslie Stringham, Brian Lauper, and Dwayne Willborn.

Honorary pallbearers will be the grandchildren, Alyssa and Kaitlyn Brumley, Lindsey, Sarah, and David Zabel, and Brooke and Lauren Lauper.

The family would like to offer a special thank you to Dr. Chandna, Dr. Sabagh, Leslie Hinton, and the nurses at Citizens 6 North Outpatient, cancer center.
