Julia A. Cook, age 85, of Victoria, passed away Saturday, April 16, 2011. She was born August 5, 1925 in Waco, Texas to the late Charles R. and Julia Mary Guenat. She was a member of Our Lady of Victoria Cathedral and also belonged to Senior Circle. She loved playing cards, working crossword puzzles, bowling, and working in her yard.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert E. Cook; two sisters; and four brothers.
She is survived by her sister, Margaret "Tootsie" King of Victoria; nephews, Charley King and wife Lynda of Victoria, John King and Carla Wilson of The Woodlands, great nieces, Jennifer King of Tyler and Kristin Edgeller and husband Johnathan of Richmond. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Private Graveside Services will be held by the Family at the Houston National Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers include Tony and Bertha Mendieta and their family.
In lieu of flowers, the Family request that memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of Victory, 1309 E. Mesquite Lane, Victoria, Texas 77901.
