Joyce E. Schroeder Tagliabue

Joyce E. Schroeder Tagliabue, 88, of Victoria passed away Tuesday, February 14, 2012. She was born August 26, 1923, in Victoria to the late Monroe O. and Lillie Vogt Schroeder. Joyce was a member of Christ the Victor Lutheran Church. She was very active with child care services at several churches and loved taking care of all children. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Music brought joy to her life and dancing was her favorite pastime.

Survivors include her husband, Edward R. Tagliabue; daughter, Darla Kay Fox (Bruce Jank), all of Victoria; grandson, James Matthew Fox (Gennie); sister, Lillie Mae Hosek; and brother, Bobby Allen Schroeder.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Monroe Lee Schroeder.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 7:00 pm on Thursday, February 16, 2012, at Rosewood Funeral Chapels.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 pm Friday, February 17, 2012, at Christ the Victor Lutheran Church, Rev. Amy Danchik and Rev. Lou Flessner officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Matthew Fox, Monroe ”Boogie” Schroeder, Blane Schroeder, Shane Schroeder, Henry Hosek III, Paul Tagliabue, Jr., and Ronnie Tagliabue.

Honorary pallbearers will be all nieces and God children.
