Bob was born May 6, 1930 in Clareville, Texas to the late Joseph Ford, Sr. and Julia Ford. After high school, he entered in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. After being honorably discharged because of hearing issues, he came back home to Kenedy and met the love of his life, Jean Jackson. They met at the Rialto Theater where she worked. They fell instantly for each other and that’s all it took. They got married in 1951 and had their first child a year later. In the early 1960’s, Bob was a farmer/rancher of wheat and cattle. He was a jack of all trades, from working as a TV/Radio repairman, to a mechanic to lastly, a truck driver. He loved computers and electronics. He would order books on computers, read them and then send them back because he learned as much as he could from reading cover to cover. He was known by some as an uneducated genius. He had hearing problems which created problems with conversing with people, so he stayed to himself and tinkered with his electronics, which made him happy.
Bob is survived by his wife of 70 years, Jean Ford; his sons, Kenneth Ford (Linda) and Thomas Ford; 5 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and brother, James Ford (Patricia)
He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph V. Ford, Sr. and Julia Ford; and brother, Charles Ford.
